sko Media has joined with Car 01 - The Two Dukes, in support of the Leukaemia Foundation's 2017 Aussie Muscle Car Run fundraising event.
The Aussie Muscle Car Run is the Leukaemia Foundation’s annual, seven-day leisure car cruise to raise funds to help local families beat blood cancer.
This year's event gets under way in Sydney on Sunday 29 October, with Marcello Caiazza and Angelo Carozza behind the wheel of Car 01 as 37 classics wind their way to Adelaide during the week long charity event.
The run is open to muscle cars of the golden era of Bathurst – those golden oldies built between 1963 and 1977. Replicas are welcome and organisers also consider special interest vehicles.
Since the event started, drivers have raised more than $2 million towards the Leukaemia Foundation’s work.
The Leukaemia Foundation is the only national charity dedicated to helping those with leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma and related blood disorders survive and then live a better quality of life.
Leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma are all types of blood cancer which can develop in anyone, of any age, at any time. Another 35 Australians are diagnosed each and every day. Although improved treatments and care are helping more people survive, sadly someone loses their life to blood cancer every two hours. Blood cancer is the third most common cause of cancer death in Australia, claiming more lives than breast cancer or melanoma.
